Upper Yough Saturday, July 21st (& 20th if they release)

There was some chat at the picnic that I might have someone (TOM) available to take me on down the Upper Yough for the first time.  However if someone else is available and would like to show me the way down, I would be more than appreciated.

I have Friday off, just in case there is a Friday release also.    My plan is to go out West no matter what, so if I can't find a guide, I may take a trip on the Lower Yough.

Scott and I are trying to go out for just the day on Saturday.  The UY race begins at 4 PM so there is plenty of time to go down before it.  There is a 6 hour release that day and the water will get downstream at 1 PM.  I will let you know what we're doing later this week.  Anyone interested in going just for the day with us should post.  We can take two more people.

BTW, the UY Race and extended release is on July 28th, not the 21st, according to the Deep Creek Hydro page.

Coop, Sounds good... so what time should I be out there Friday (if there is a release) if not, it looks like rain Wed/Thurs out there so maybe we can find something else...  Just let me know a time and we can work the phone Friday AM.

Got my date on the UY race from the Keelhauler's website which was put out months ago.  Spoke with John Kobak, their webmaster and he is changing it on their website.  There might be a release for the fish this coming Friday.  They have been releasing several times this past week.  If that is the case, I will put you in touch with them as they know the lines really well also.  I'm sure that they will let you run shuttle with them.

Can't do Upper Yough this Saturday. Too much crap to do to get ready for next week's vacation at Deep Creek.  Hook up with Eric if you go. He was paddling the Cheat today and the Upper for his first time tomorrow. We will be paddling it next Saturday, July 28th for sure!  Hope to catch one or two of the unscheduled "fish" releases next week while we're out there.  Call or post if interested.
