I will be holding one more clinic this weekend, June 27th at 8:30 am.  We will be focusing on the skills you utilize when running the river.  This will include a review of basic boat control, but will focus a bit more on other skills such as river reading and how to recognize features, bracing along with eddy turns and peel outs, as well as rolling in current.

The clinic is open to paddlers of all skill levels (Laura and Don, if you have never run the Gorge you should try to make this).  Rolling not a requirement.

We will be meeting at Angler's Inn PROMPTLY at 8:30.  We will spend a little time reviewing skills as we paddle up the canal, and then apply those skills (and others!) as we come down through the Gorge.  I anticipate being done no later than 1pm.

If you have any questions or concerns, put up a post or send me a PM.

And by the way----

I typically park in the lot directly across the street from Old Angler's Inn.  I drive a blue Jeep Cherokee and paddle a Dagger G-Force.  Look for me there.

I have to say--I am so bummed that I couldn't make even ONE of your clinics!!!!  Thanks so much for offering them to the club.  I heard how good your strokes clinic was.  I hope you have a good turnout!

Hi Rob!
I would like to come to the clinic tomorrow. I just took the super fab GBCC beginner class over Memorial Day, so I am getting started.

Is there also the option of an afternoon class? Or is 8:30 the one? I will make if so, and if you still have oom, but thought I'd ask.  I am driving from Baltimore.

Also I am almost now fully outfitted, but lack a whitewater paddle. Do you have a paddle I can borrow for the class?

JESSIE--

I will bring an extra paddle for you to use.  Can only do a morning class as I have an EVENT to attend in the afternoon.

Look forward to seeing you all there!
