Please let me know if I have this right.

So...to come to a Sunday roll session, as a new person I need to bring:

- $20 club fee
- $15 ACA fee

Total of $35 cash (or check...?)

I also need to request in advance a skirt (I'm 5' 9", 145 lb. female), kayak and paddle.  I have a helmet and PFD.

Am I missing anything?  Either way, I'll show up to get this info in person.  Thanks for your help and consideration!   Smiley

Pardon me, one more question.  Is there an additional fee per session?  Thanks!

Club membership is $20 per household.  This year, the first three nights you attend are $10 and remaining nights are $5.  (That’s $5 every week to cover the pool and $5 the first three weeks for ACA to cover required insurance.)  If you can show a current ACA membership card, you don’t need to pay ACA for the insurance.

Jackie, were you the one sitting pool side during the last session?    If you are, Ill have the boat and gear for you as we discussed.

Nick,

No I was not the one stalking, I mean sitting by the pool.  I have not been to a roll session at Goucher.  I will bring my check book, helmet and PFD.  Could someone please help me with finding a boat, paddle and skirt?  Thank you gentlemen for your help.

I've got a spare boat & gear if you need a second.  Need to get a good count as I don't want to load on a maybe.

Jerry,

That is understandable.  I'm in communication to get hold of boat and skirt to borrow for Sunday night and will confirm with you by Saturday about borrowing your boat.  Thank you for the offer!

$30

If you have joined the GBCC prior to showing up to the roll session, then only $10.

Change in my travel plans so I won't be making the Sunday roll session as I'll be in Pittsburg.  Next session I can make probably won't be until the last one on the 4th.  I can load a boat then if someone needs.

Recently relocated from NC where I was a one time Ed. Chair for the Carolina Canoe Club and also taught rolling at local roll sessions. I am a certified L4 ACA instructor and would like to get involved in local kayak education. Who would I talk to/contact info about getting involved?
Thanks,
Mike

I'm guessing Nick Bowley is the person you need to talk to. If it him directly, he will surely get you to the correct person. You might be better off sending a private message to Nick as I'm not so sure how much attention this particular thread gets.

This thread will likely be replaced in November or December with 2013 info. It will get LOTS of attention. Enough to make a lonely schoolgirl jealous! Now that I have a 40% roll, I can't wait!!! LOL!

Mike, I sent you an email.   Sounds good.

Yeah, we will post additional roll session info closer to date.
